During the hot summer months, longhair cats, like Professor Longhair pictured here, will experience the heat to a greater degree. While indoor-only cats will not be as impacted, the change in weather will still affect them. To help keep longhair cats cool and comfortable, SPS cat sitters will always ensure that there is plentiful drinking water, some nice cool shady spots for the cat to relax in, and will try brushing, though not all cats enjoy that. Some cats even enjoy playing with ice cubes as a way to help beat the heat!
